Small table on three feet with circa 45° bent, rectangular top, with vegetile ornaments inlaid with pewter strips and mother-of-pearl scales. Rim of top and claws of theriomorphic feet inlaid with bone. Top 10.43 x 8.07 in. From the Near East
Cupboard for the corner of a room, triangular sectional view, of wood stained in dark brown. Top and bottom board, two compartments. Structured in three vertical axes, each with 'balustrade' of short turned sticks at bottom. Central cut-outs heavily profiled, the edges with gilt lacquer. In the two upper corners lattices of small turned short sticks ('marabīya' technique). Triangular small ajour top piece, in the centre with a small board with scripture in gilt colour, profiled top edge of which is partly broken. Width of the back sides 19.29 in. each. Around 1900. Stool on a transversally rectangular plan with low armrests which project outwards on the sides. These and the sides on the bottom are made in the 'marabīya' technique, with chip carving and inlays made from mother-of-pearl (rosettes, round scales).
